Comet boys fall to LCA in swim meet

SoVaNow.com / January 17, 2019
In the boys’ action, LCA defeated the Comets, 98-75.

Halifax County High School had strong wins over GW and Bassett.

“We swam hard against our district opponents G.W. and Bassett. LCA had some really talented swimmers, which was really good for us. They challenged us to get our best times of the year. We will see swimmers like LCA at Regionals,” said coach Shawn Torian.

Halifax swimming has its annual senior night recognition tonight.

The Comets had several individual winners.

Jackson Dunavant took top honors in the 200 yard free, in 2:20;93. Lydia Wenzel had a 200-yard free winning time of 2.28.98.
