Day said, the “kids are working hard and ready to start. Just trying to get the kids prepared for how we will practice and compete, every play every day. We’ve got a great mix of players with many surprises of some kids that are greatly improved from day one.”

The public is invited to ‘Meet the Comets’ night Friday beginning at 4:30 pm.

Practice will begin at that time at the stadium. There will also be time to meet the players and coaches. There is a meeting of the parents at 5:45 p.m. in the bleachers.

At 6 p.m., there were be an 11-vs-11 offense against defense full contact scrimmage, with the clock moving. Referees will be involved and there will be two periods.
