Comet jayvees dominate Bassett / December 27, 2017
The Halifax County High School jayvee boys basketball team improved to 8-1, 4-0 Piedmont District with a dominating 59-27 win over Bassett Friday.

The Comets ran away with this one. The Comets led 17-6 at the end of the first quarter, sparked by an offensive surge from Kevon Ferrell, who had eight points.

Halifax then went on a 22-9 run in the second quarter, to post a 39-15 edge at the halftime break.

Eventually, the Comets finished with another lopsided win.

Eleven Comets contributed offense to this win.

Ferrell finished with 11. Amir Spencer scored nine. Osiris Ross had eight. Jaden Waller also had eight, all in the second quarter.
