Comet linemen take part in NFL camp / July 25, 2013
Five Comet football linemen had a positive experience participating in a national high school player development camp hosted by the NFL Cleveland Browns.

Casey Abedeljalil, Jarius Marable, Darrius Younger, Nelson Pringle, and R.J. Scott went to Cleveland for the NFL high school player development lineman competition.

Comet coach Mike Roark called the experience ‘huge’ for these young players. Roark noted the NFL flew the players from the Raleigh-Durham airport to Cleveland. Once there, the participated in the lineman skills competition, and two Comets emerged as award winners. The Comets also stayed at the Crown Plaza, courtesy of the NFL.

J. Marable won the medicine ball toss and Adedeljalil captured top honors in the sand bag carry competition.

Fall drills for the Comets start Aug. 1.
