Comet soccer 1-4 after 8-0 loss to Fleming / April 02, 2009
The HCHS boys’ soccer team is 1-4 overall after an 8-0 loss to William Fleming in Roanoke.

Earlier, the Comets lost to Martinsville, 6-0, followed by a 4-0 loss to Tunstall last Wednesday, followed by the shutout loss to Fleming.

Coach Frank Shealy said the Comets have moments when our ball possession is good, but the team is unable to maintain the consistency through the entire game.

“We just need a lot of work on our fundamentals and ball possession to continue to improve over the season,” said Shealy.

HCHS is 0-1 in the district, so the Comets must work to improve ball control. “As ball control improves, our game will improve,” said the Comet coach.
