Patrick County defeated Halifax County High School, 3-2, in Piedmont District tournament varsity volleyball action last week.

The Comets struggled this season, but they have one more crack at the postseason.

Halifax will wait for the first round of the Class 4D regional volleyball competition beginning Nov. 5.
