Comets breeze past Bassett 66-37 / January 13, 2020

Halifax County High School varsity boys’ hoops remained unbeaten after a 66-37 win Friday over Bassett.

Halifax started a bit sluggish in the first period, scoring 12 points.

The Comets enjoyed an offensive surge in the second quarter, scoring 23 points. Halifax had 21 in the third and sailed to the win.

Halifax had four players in double figures.

Kameron Roberts had 16 points to lead all scorers.

Jaden Waller scored 13, including nine in the third period. Jhamad Lawson had 11.

Kevon Ferrell hit an early trey and finished with 12.

Keshawn Wells had nine.

The Comets had little trouble and handled Bassett with ease. Bassett had a major meltdown in the second quarter, scoring one point on a free throw.
