Comets edged by Franklin County in soccer / April 21, 2010
Franklin County edged Halifax County, 4-3, in boys’ varsity soccer action in Rocky Mount Tuesday.

Halifax County took a 2-0 lead but Franklin County came back to win the match 4-3 The Eagles improved their record to 5-2-3 overall and 1-0-1 in the Western Vally District.

Halifax got two goals from Jordan Keck and one from Brandon Garner on a penalty kick.

The Comets had 10 shots on goal. Franklin County had 17.

Comet keeper Josh Walls had 13 saves.

HCHS is 3-2-1 overall and 0-1 in the district. The Comets are home Friday against GW.
