Halifax County High School varsity volleyball fell to Bluestone, 3-0, Thursday.

The Comets were competitive early, losing the first set, 25-18. Halifax then dropped decisions of 25-13 twice.

Coach Meg Bane said it was a case of 27 points of serving and hitting errors for the Comets.

Halifax had 10 good serves from Kendall Foushee and eight for Madison Barnes.

The Comets had eight hitting attempts for Sarah Watts with three kills.

There were nine for Barnes with three kills and 10 for Kirsten Wellons with five kills.

Duffer recorded two blocks, while Barnes had three and Trinity Martin had two.

Foushee had 30 good sets.
