Comets in soccer consolation game, fall to Martinsville 4-2

Halifax County High School varsity boys soccer was facing Magna Vista Wednesday in the headed for a Piedmont District boys soccer tournament consolation game.

Halifax lost at Martinsville 4-2 in the opening round Monday.

Jax Bosiger scored the first goal for the Comets. Christian Palmer later scored.

Halifax trailed 2-1 at halftime. Martinsville ended up scoring on two penalty kicks and added another goal.

Halifax finished the regular season at 7-8-1.

Halifax was still unsure of its exact seeding for the regionals yesterday.
