Dragon boys set pace in Tri-Rivers cross country

The Park View boys cross country team continued their winning ways this past week, take first place at a district meet held Wednesday at Greensville County High School.

Jacob Fadool and Eli Fadool swept the top two individual awards. Jacob finished the 5K (3.1 mile) course in 18:17 with Eli right behind at 18:18. Justin Zincone came fourth overall in 18:55 followed by Salavador Adrian in fifth at 19 minutes flat. Dragon runner Colin Malone powered it home for 14th in 21:06 followed by Adam Piercy with a solid top 20 at 17th in 21:32.

With the win the Park View boys move to 6-1 and appear to be in control of their destiny regarding the Tri-Rivers District regular season title.

The Park View girls' team were unable to field enough runners to garner a team score. Rachel Richey battled through and finished in 36:03.

Park View's next meet is today at Southampton.
