Dragon girls score 55-43 win over Southampton

SoVaNow.com / January 30, 2013
The Park View Dragons are now 7-8 on the season after a win over Southampton last Wednesday night.

The Lady Dragons scored an impressive 55 points and held the Indians to 43.

The Dragons were up 13-10 at the end of the first quarter and held onto their lead with a 12-10 scoring margin in the second quarter, putting them up 25-20 at halftime.

The varsity girls dug in on defense in the third quarter, allowing Southampton to score only four points while tallying 11 at their end of the court. Both teams scored 19 points in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough for the Lady Indians as they went down to defeat 55-43.

The Lady Dragons were scheduled to play again Friday against Prince Edward but could not fit in the game because of winter weather conditions.
