SoVaNow.com / September 11, 2013

The Park View golf team traveled to Petersburg on Thursday to compete against Sussex Central and Southampton at Dogwood Trace.

Park View won the match with a score of 157. Southampton placed second with 179 and Sussex was third, scoring 200.

Christian Mosier was medalist for the match, shooting an even-par 36 over nine holes. Teammate Jacob Berryman followed with a 37.

Head Coach Chan Puryear said the team is really playing as a unit now and they plan to keep it rolling.

“It’s no one person doing this,” Puryear said. “Every week it just looks like someone different steps up to help the team. I can’t say enough about all the players on the team. And I do mean all — it just something the way they are playing as a team.”

With the win PV improved to 7-0 in match play.

The team returns to the South Hill Country Club on Thursday for a match against Southampton, Dinwiddie and Windsor.

Below are individual scores for Park View. The four lowest scores determine team totals.

Jacob Berryman – 37

Christian Mosier – 36 (medalist even par)

Tyler Billings – 42

Jared Jordan – 42

Brandon Lewis – 43

Samantha Pearce – 52
