Dragon softball, soccer teams finish atop Southside District

SoVaNow.com / May 22, 2013
Park View High School has produced three first-place teams in the Southside District, putting the Dragons in good position heading into district and Region 1 tournament action.

Both the girls soccer and boys soccer teams at Park View are this year’s Southside District champions.

Also winning the Southside District championship was the Lady Dragon softball team.

Heavy rain on Monday postponed the JV baseball game where Park View was to host Brunswick. Also canceled due to the rain was the varsity baseball game at Brunswick.

The Lady Dragon softball team is ensured of hosting a Region 1 game next Monday, May 27 and the soccer teams, both boys and girls, will host regional playoff games on Tuesday, May 28.

Also, 14 members of the Dragon track team have qualified for regional competition in Culpepper on Thursday.
