Halifax County High School girls’ tennis defeated Patrick County, 5-0, on Friday.

“We met Patrick County in round two of the Piedmont District tournament last Friday. Our girls came out aggressively and played sharp tennis to win all the first five singles sets for the victory. We looked good across the board.

“Our girls are playing great tennis - they hit hard, they place the ball, and they are determined. With this win, we advance to the finals of the Piedmont District tournament, which is scheduled for today,” said coach Donna Hudson.
