Halifax 14U Dixie off to tough start in world series / August 07, 2017

The Halifax Dixie Boys 14U baseball all-stars had a tough start to the World Series in Bluffton, S.C., losing to the host team, 12-0, Saturday.

Bluffton got a no-hitter from its pitcher. Halifax put only four balls in play and struck out 14 times.

Halifax had three pitchers on the mound, Leo Noblin, Zyliek Perkins, and Jackson Dunavant. These hurlers only walked four batters and Halifax only had one throwing error. Bluffton had 10 hits, including three home runs.

Halifax stranded two baserunners, both at second base. Colton Allen walked, stole second, and was stranded in the first inning. Shabazz Buster walked and stole second in the third. He was also stranded.
