Hall of Fame celebrates 30 years with April 7 banquet / March 05, 2018
The 30th anniversary of the Halifax County/South Boston Sports Hall of Fame will be celebrated with its annual banquet Saturday, April 7 at 6:30 p.m. at Halifax County Middle School. Banquet organizers are asking all living inductees make an effort to attend.

Inductees for the 2016 class are Gatha Richardson, Bert Saunders, Norman Snead and Casey Waller.

Ticket are limited to 250 and are available in South Boston at True Value Hardware, and in Halifax at the Peddlers Market-Exchange Store and at the Gazette-Virginian in Centerville. You may also purchase them from any Hall of Fame board member or call Carlyle Wimbish at 434-572-6254. E-mail .Advance tickets are $20 each and if any remain they will be sold at the door for $25.

At the 2012 Banquet, inductee William “Buck” Williams announced the establishment of a scholarship endowment fund. Everyone that contributes at least a $100 will be listed in the 2018 Banquet Program. If you want to be a part of this program please send you contribution to the Hall of Fame at the above address by March 15.
