HC allstars score Saturday sweep

The Halifax County Dixie Youth AA coach pitch all-stars swept two games in decisive fashion in opening day action at the Day complex Saturday.

These same all-stars are headed to the Virginia Dixie Youth AA coach pitch tournament in Brookneal Saturday.

Halifax won its first game 15-3 over Scottsburg, with a host of contributors.

Zane Ballou went two-for-three with two runs scored. Austin Comer was also two-for-three, with two runs scored. Logan Chappell was 2-for-2 with two runs scored. Will Payne went 2-for-2 with two runs scored.

Drew Morgan had a two-for-two outing, with two runs scored.

Halifax downed Cluster Springs, 16-8, in its second game Saturday.

Ballou was 3-for-3 with two runs scored. Comer had a 2-for-2 outing, with two runs scored. Cameron Parkman went two-for-three with two runs scored. Ty Throckmorton went 3-for-3 with two runs scored. Luke Ashwell went two-for-three with two runs scored.

Camdyn Chapel went two-for-two with two runs scored.
