Holiday pairings set / December 06, 2018
The pairings have been announced for the upcoming Holiday Classic at Halifax County High School.

The Comet boys and girls varsity basketball squads will meet Bluestone in the opening round of the Classic, set for Dec. 27-28 at the high school.

Person High School will meet Gretna on the opening day of the tournament.

The first day winners move on to the championship games on Friday, Dec. 28.The first day losers meet in consolation action that day.

Person High is the defending champion on both the girls and boys side of the Classic.

The Rockets and Comets have already met once this season. The Person girls decisively defeated the Comets, while Halifax won in overtime last week in boys action. The action starts at 3 p.m. both days, with the first games involving the Comets set for 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27.
