Jayvee baseball takes down Amherst / March 19, 2018
Luke Fulcher and Ben Irby each collected three RBI as the Halifax County jayvee baseball team defeated Amherst County, 9-2, on Friday.

Fulcher went 2-for-3, with two runs scored. Fulcher connected on a two-run double in the third inning.

Irby went two-for-four with a run scored. Irby had a one-run single and a two-run single.

Halifax had 10 hits, with Christian Worley and Jared Dawson each collecting two.

Worley got the win, working three innings. He walked two, allowed three hits and allowed two unearned runs. Worley fanned eight batters.

Jaxon Lloyd also had two strikeouts, one walk and surrendered a hit.

Jackson Dunavant finished in relief, working three innings. He allowed one hit.
