Jayvee girls fall to Magna Vista to end season

The Halifax County High School jayvee girls basketball team finished its season with a 38-19 loss to Magna Vista 38-19 at home Tuesday.

Halifax won the opening period 6-4. The downfall in the game was the one-point frame Halifax put up in the second.

The teams went to halftime with MV leading 15-7. The Comets’ Jadyn Harlow had three points in the first half.

MV would win the third period 12-8 and take the leading score of 27-15 to the fourth period. Halifax was outscored 11-4 in the final block and fell to MV 38-19.

Tynia Carrington paced Halifax with six-game points.
