Jayvee girls get win over Rockets / December 04, 2017
The Halifax County High School jayvee girls basketball team defeated Person County on the road Friday night, 52-36.

Halifax started well, outscoring the Rockets 13-8 in the first quarter.

Halifax had more consistency in the second period, putting up 13 points to lead 26-15 at the half.

The Comets outscored Person, 13-10, in the third period and cruised to the win.

Ella Morrison led the Lady Comets with 12 points, while Alisha Hunt had ten. A’nya Brandon scored nine. Kayla Townes had eight.

Lauryn Easley scored six points. Halifax had decent free throw shooting, finishing at 44 percent, 12-for-27.
