Jayvee softball ends season with win over Park View

SoVaNow.com / May 15, 2017
Rainy weather forced the cancellation of the final jayvee softball game, so the Comets ended the season with a 13-3 mark.

Halifax shut out Park View Wednesday in South Hill, 3-0. Halifax mounted a three-run second inning in the win over Park View.

The Comets collected seven hits in the contest on the road. Autumn Younger and Kassidy Thompson slapped two hits apiece.

Sydney Wilborn and Kayla Townes also contributed RBI singles.

Raegan Ridgeway hurled a six inning two-hitter in the game. She struck out five batters and walked two in the win. The game was called early due to darkness.

Halifax also had a 14-1 win over Magna Vista on Tuesday.
