The Halifax County High School jayvee softball team rolled past Franklin County Wednesday night in South Boston.

Halifax secured an 11-0 win over the Eagles.

Madison Barnes got the win in the circle. She is now 9-1 on the mound this season, She worked four innings, allowing four hits, with two strikeouts. Bailey Bowen pitched one inning with 1 hit allowed.

Halifax had plenty of offense and won by mercy rule.

The Comets had more than enough offensive support.

Kayla Spencer went 3-3 with 2 doubles. Kayla Townes had a 2-3 night, with 2 runs scored.

Brooke Conner went 2-3. Sarah Watts was 1-4 with 2 runs scored.

Kylie Satterfield had a great game behind the plate. The Comet catcher threw out a girl trying to steal second, threw out another girl at second while backing up first on an errant throw, and ended the game on a strike out and pick off at first for a double play.
