Jayvees fall to Eagles

The Franklin County jayvee baseball team stuck a two-run rally in the sixth inning and defeated Halifax County High School, 5-4, in Rocky Mount Tuesday.

HCHS scored twice in the first inning, with Dustin Fears delivering a key triple.

Arthur Watts doubled and Jake Hughes singled in the fifth for HCHS, which got its third run in that frame.

Halifax added its final run in the sixth, as Colby Grissom doubled and FCHS had an error.
