The Halifax County High School jayvee boys fell to rival GW-Danville Tuesday night in Piedmont District action, 53-43.

Kevon Ferrell led the Comets with 13 points, while Osiris Ross had nine. Zy’liek Perkins had five.

Halifax trailed by one, 17-16, at the end of the first period.

But the Comets went cold in the second period. HCHS only hit two baskets and connected on two free throws. GW had pretty balanced scoring and piled up 14 points.

Halifax struggled down the stretch, scoring two baskets in the third and two in the final stanza.
