Jayvees finish season with win over Magna Vista

The Halifax County High School jayvee baseball team closed out its regular season with a 10-4 win at home over Magna Vista.

Halifax scored once in the first inning, two more times in the second inning, once in the fourth and six more runs in the fifth inning.

Dylan Clark hit a single, an RBI triple and a double and scored three runs. He also reached when he was hit by a pitch.

Shaun Perkins had four hits, including a double. Luke Fulcher walked and singled and scored twice.

Jarrett Powell led the pitching effort, as the Comets allowed eight hits, with six strikeouts. Brock Poole, Jackson Dunavant and Jared Dawson also pitched for the Comets.
