Halifax County High School jayvee volleyball defeated Martinsville at home Tuesday, 2-0.

The Comets won, 25-14 and 25-18.

Ashlyn Strickland led the team with service points with 15, and eight were aces. Katie Reaves had points with one being an ace. Shamya Hankins scored six points with two being aces. Destiny Talbott, Tessy Henderson and Kate Jackson also each had an ace.

Tessy Henderson and Shamya Hankins had 3 kills each with Katie Reaveshaving two.

Kate Jackson, Greysen Terry, Destiny Talbott and Jadyn Harlow all had one dig.
