Jayvees pick up 46-20 loss to GW-Danville / November 06, 2017
Halifax County High School jayvee football sustained a tough loss at GW-Danville Thursday night, 46-20.

The Comets scored on a six-yard pass from Osiris Ross to Zyliek Perkins in the second quarter. GW led at halftime, 24-6.

Halifax generated more offense, but could not keep pace with GW. The Comets scored on a two-yard run from Ross in the third period and a 60-yard run by Ross in the final quarter.

“The kids played hard and battled all game after falling into an early hole,” said coach Thomas Turbeville.

The jayvees are now 4-5. The Comets play their final game of the fall campaign tonight against E.C. Glass in Lynchburg.
