Jayvees pull away for win over Park View / January 23, 2020

The Halifax County High School jayvee boys basketball team picked up at 35-29 win over Park View Tuesday.

Daki Chandler headed Halifax with 11 points. T. Logan led PV with eight points.

Halifax owned a one-point lead at 12-11 at the end of the opening period. Jeffreys had two treys in the period. Logan posted five points for PV off of a trey and deuce.

The teams continued to battle in the second quarter with PV outscoring Halifax 7-6. The score was tied at halftime 18-18.

PV took the one-point lead, 27-26 at the end of the third when they won the third period 9-8. Nolan Pounds dropped in four points for the Comets. J. Goode had a five for the Dragons.

Halifax used a solid fourth period of offense and defense to take the frame 9-2 and the game 35-29. Chandler closed out the period with seven points scored off a trey and two baskets.
