Lady Lions considerable success continues

The Halifax County Middle School girls basketball team continued to enjoy considerable success Monday night, as the Lions routed Bonner, 31-15.

Six Lions got into the scoring column. Deaundra Jeffress led the pack with nine points, while Sierra Nunn had eight. Aliyah Chandler and JeriLynn Tyler had four apiece.

Akiah Clauden had five for HCMS.

The Lions bolted to an 8-0 lead in the first period and withstood a brief Bonner rally in the second quarter. HCMS outscored Bonner, 8-4, in the third period and pulled away in the final stanza.
