Lady Lions down Park View 40-10

SoVaNow.com / December 10, 2012
The Halifax County Middle School girls’ basketball team defeated Park View, 40-10.

The Lion girls improved to 2-1 after the win over Park View Wednesday.

“Defensive-wise, we’re pretty good. We shoot the ball well. We have no inside game. What we do, is press. I play ten girls. We press and run and shoot the (ball),” Coach James Smith said.

HCMS is playing well and is effective from the perimeter, Smith said.

Halifax got its primary scoring contributions from three players Wednesday, as Shadajah Davis had 14 points. Brittany Clark scored nine, including a pair of 3-pointers. Akiya Guill supplied 13, including three treys.
