Lady Lions drop Patrick, are top seed in tournament

The Halifax County Middle School girls basketball team defeated Patrick County, 29-21, on Wednesday in the regular season finale.

Halifax capitalized on a 12-0 run to start the game. Halifax finished the regular season with a 15-1 mark. The Lions will have the top seed in the Junior Piedmont District tournament.

DeMeisha Canada led with seven points. Talitha Marable had six points, while Lynia Reed had five points. Ella Morrison had four.
