Lady Lions easily handle Laurel Park / February 02, 2017
The Halifax County Middle School girls basketball team improved to 12-1 with a 45-24 win at Laurel Park.

Halifax had a strong defensive effort, backed up by fairly balanced scoring. The Lions still own the top spot in the Piedmont Junior District standings.

Halifax had a strong second half, outscoring Laurel Park 14-7 in the third period and 12-4 in the fourth quarter.

Lynia Reed led Halifax with 14 points and Demeisha Canada had 10. Talitha Marable added nine and Shamaya Hankins scored eight.
