Lady Lions fall to Russell 29-22 / January 28, 2013
The Halifax County Middle School girls hoopsters lost to Russell Thursday, 29-22.

Russell had the edge from the start, leading 9-3 at the end of the first period. HCMS got only one field goal in the period.

Halifax rallied with a nine-point second period, but still trailed, 17-12, at the half.

Russell led, 22-19, at the end of three periods, as the defenses dominated. Halifax got outscored in the final period, as the Lion girls did not sink a field goal.

Shadajah Davis led the Lion girls with nine.
