Lady Lions pick up win

Halifax County Middle School volleyball rolled to a three-set win at Wyatt Tuesday.

The Lion girls prevailed in game one, 25-17. HCMS claimed game two, 25-12 and took game three, 25-8.

In the first set, Olivia Noblin had two good serves and 15 assists. Savanna Cabaniss had one good serve and one assist. Katie Cole had four good serves. Calli Neal had 14 assists.

Sierra Nunn had three good serves and four kills.

Carol Fears had 12 good serves.

In the second set, Leigh-Anne McCormick had three assists. Hailie Lawhorn had three good serves, one kill, and one assist. Olivia Noblin had five good serves, including two aces, one kill, and twelve assists. Katie Cole had eight good serves and one kill.

Aliyah Chandler had four good serves and two kills. Carol Fears had three good serves.

In the third set, Olivia Noblin had three good serves and seven assists. Katie Cole had five good serves and one kill.

Calli Neal had three assists. Aliyah Chandler had two good serves and one kill.

Sierra Nunn had one good serve and one kill.

Carol Fears had nine good serves, including one ace.

HCMS coach Lori Meadows said Fears served extremely well.

“The ladies will need to remain focused for their upcoming matches against Park View and Bluestone,” she said.
