Lady Lions roll over Westwood

SoVaNow.com / January 29, 2018
The Halifax County Middle School girls basketball team is out to a 9-0 start this season following a 51-9 rout of Westwood in Danville Thursday.

The Lions are creating 20-25 turnovers per game, leading to high percentage layups and other easy baskets. Halifax uses a suffocating full court trap.

Against Westwood, Halifax bolted to a 22-4 lead at the end of the first period. The Lions led 30-4 at the half.

Jadyn Harlow scored 15 points. Kamyria Woody-Giggetts added eight, including six in the final period. Saviana Bailey had seven points.

Ten Lions got into the scoring column.
