The Halifax County Middle School girls’ basketball team shredded Bluestone Monday night, 40-15.

Bluestone was limited to one 3-pointer in the first period and three total field goals in the first half. HCMS led 31-9 at intermission.

11 different players scored for HCMS.

Akiya Guill had nine, while Shadajah Davis scored seven. Jalisha Brooks added six.

HCMS works off intense pressure defense and once again the Lion girls were able to totally disrupt the visitors’ offensive scheme.

HCMS improved to 7-1 overall and 3-1 in the Southside conference.
