The Halifax County Middle School girls’ basketball team easily defeated Westwood Monday at home, 41-6.

Halifax held the visitors to two field goals, one in the second and one in the third.

Halifax scored 15 points in the first period and had 29 at halftime. The Lions reached 40 points after the third period.

Talitha Marable led the way for Halifax, scoring 13 points. She had a trey in the first period.

Savianna Bailey scored ten points, while Jadyn Harlow added five.

Halifax finished with 17 field goals, including one trey. The Lions went six-of-14 from the foul line.
