Kaliyah Hargrove scored eight points and teammate Jalan Dailey contributed seven as the Bluestone Middle School Lady Trojans bested the Lady Bobcats of Central-Charlotte 20-9 on Monday night at home.

The win takes the Lady Trojans to 2-0 in Southside Middle School Conference action.

Bluestone held CC scoreless in the first quarter and won the frame 6-0. Bluestone followed with a six-point second while holding CC to two-points for the 12-2 halftime score.

The teams played each other evenly in the third going 6-6. Bluestone capped off the final period with a 4-1 push.

The Lady Trojans played decent defense for most of the night and basically just shut down any offense Central-Charlotte tried to bring.

After the game Lady Trojan head coach Crystal Chandler said her team won but didn’t bring their best game to the floor. Chandler said she was pleased though with the way the team was progressing and with the effort the girls are putting forth to win and get better.
