Lion boys beat Russell 41-38, girls fall 33-17 / January 27, 2020
Kanya Caddle led the Halifax County Middle School boys basketball team with 18 points en route to a 41-38 win over Russell.

Josh Miller scored eight and Titus Tucker Jr. and Arious Sweeney contributed five points apiece for the Lions.

Atavion Mabins scored four points for Halifax.

The key to the game was a 16-6 run in the final period for the Lions.

Caddle led the way with seven, including one basket beyond the arc.

n Russell Middle School breezed to a 33-17 win over the Halifax County Middle School girls basketball team.

Russell got scoring contributions from six players.

Halifax went scoreless in both the second and third quarters and was paced by eight points from M. Claiborne.
