James Smith Jr. had 19 points, including some crowd-pleasing offensive moves, and the HCMS Lions boys’ basketball team cruised past Bonner Thursday, 46-27.

Seven Lions scored, as Jayke Dabbs added nine. Jordan Williams and Stephan Chandler had six apiece.

The Lions powered to a quality start, leading 16-1 in the first period.

Smith had five points and Chandler added four. The Lions added ten points, as HCMS rolled to a 26-13 lead at halftime. The Lions stretched the lead to 32-23 at the end of three periods and won handily.

Halifax connected on two three-pointers, as Dabbs and Smith had one apiece, and finished 4-for-11 from the foul line.
