Halifax County Middle School boys soccer fell to Ben Franklin Middle Monday, 5-3.

The Lions had a strong effort from Colin Gravitt, who had three goals.

Keeper John Louden recorded six saves, but it was not enough to contain Franklin.

“Tonight was another frustrating loss for our team. We felt coming into tonight’s game that we can turn it around in front of our home fans but that didn’t go as planned. Right now we’re facing a little bit of adversity but Coach Martin and I will continue to coach these boys hard and stay on them about not giving up because that’s not what we will coach them to do. We will continue to stay together and turn this thing around,” said coach Kwame Lambert, who is confident of a turnaround.
