Lions earn top seed for Piedmont District volleyball tournament

The Halifax County Middle School volleyball team has earned the No. 1 seed for the Junior Piedmont District volleyball tournament.

The Lions will host the semifinal round vs no. 4 Patrick County Tuesday, Oct. 12 at 5:15 p.m. If the Lions win the semifinal, they will play for the championship in South Boston on Oct. 14 at 5 p.m., facing the winner of the no. 3 Fieldale-Collinsville/no. 2 Laurel Park game.

Admission is $5 with children six and under admitted free.
