Lions get past Martinsville

SoVaNow.com / April 17, 2017
Halifax County Middle School boys soccer slipped past Martinsville Thursday, 1-0.

“The entire team contributed to the effort. The boys fought every second for the win last night,” said coach Brian Seate.

Goalie Wyatt Nelson made several saves, and one in particular was very intense. Defender Dylan Vaughan won the ball twice near the end of the game in clutch moves.

We were able to win the ball and control the game for the last three minutes. Ending the regular season on a high note will give us momentum for the tournament,” said Seate.

The first round is April 24.
