Lions get top seed in district tournament / October 10, 2019
The Halifax County Middle School volleyball team will play as the no. 1 seed in the Junior Piedmont District tournament which starts Thursday, October 10th.

The Lions will face no. 4 seed Patrick County today at 5:30 p.m. The winner of that game will face the winner of Laurel Park-Fieldale Collinsville on Tuesday.

The Lions took a doubleheader from Martinsville Tuesday, winning both matches 2-0.

First match - 2-0, first set 25-7 Emma Payne: Ace-1 Assists-3; Makayla Powell: Ace-2; Olivia Seamster: Kills-1; Abby Duffer: Ace-11; Peyton Irby: Kills-3

Second set 25-20; Hannah Abbott: Ace-1; Abagail Conner: Assists-1 Maddy Martin: Ace-1; Olivia Seamster: Ace-2, Kills-2; Blakely Martin: Assists-2; Erin Satterfield: Ace-3, Kills-1; Abby Duffer: Ace-1.
