Lions girls cruise past Bonner

The Halifax County Middle School girls’ basketball team cruised past Bonner Monday, 42-18 to stay perfect on the season.

Halifax had a fast start and only let up in the final period. Halifax scored 15 points in the first period, nine in the second, 12 in the third and six in the final quarter. Kamyria Woody-Giggetts led the Lions with 12 points, including a surge in the third period.

Shamya Hankins had 10.

Bonner was held to six field goals, including two in the final period.
