The Halifax County Middle School girls basketball team defeated Fieldale-Collinsville, 30-6, Monday at home to improve to 6-0.

Talitha Marable led Halifax with nine points, and Jadyn Harlow had eight.

Shamya Hankins contributed six points and Lynia Reed scored four points.

Halifax led 12-0 at the end of the first quarter and cruised to a 22-2 lead at halftime.
