The Halifax County Middle School boys soccer team enjoyed a 4-0 win over Bluestone in its season opener Monday.

Halifax had fine midfield play from Evan Hite and Michael Iskandar.

Halifax got two goals from Iskander and Levi-Lee Smith. Halifax got two goals from Colin Gravitt.

The Lions had superb defensive action from Kaelin Graves, Christopher Cook, Landon Garner, and C.J. DeGraw.

Lion coach Kwame Lambert said, “Our defense tonight played tremendously well and kept Bluestone from scoring a goal.

“Offensively we kept attacking and controlled the ball very well and took many shots at goal. Hats off to Bluestone Middle School for giving us a great game. They fought hard and never gave up,” said Lambert.
