Lions overwhelm Laurel Park 44-12 to run record to 5-0 on the season

Halifax County Middle School football overwhelmed Laurel Park 44-12 at Tuck Dillard Stadium. The Lions improved to 5-0.

The Lions led at the half 36-12 after jumping out to an early 12-0 lead. Montavious Marrero and Keshaun Davis scored twice and Anthony Wilborn, once.

Coach Kenneth Day said it was a good game and a good win for the team. Halifax has had four games canceled this season.

Halifax was scheduled to take on Fieldale Collinsville yesterday. The Lions are at home next week versus Danville Middle School with eight grade players being recognized before the game.
